The trigger pour is a game changer. I've been drinking mate every morning for over a decade and always used the traditional gourd and bombilla, but this system keeps the water at temperature for hours and the continuous flow means no more refilling a thermos every fifteen minutes. The 1.3 QT size is fine for solo use but I wish I'd sized up for sharing. Everything else works great — pour mechanism, insulation, the lid. Just know the capacity before buying.

The insulation is excellent and the trigger mechanism feels durable. My one issue is that the gourd-lid mug retains a slight straw-like taste for the first few washes, but that faded. Would recommend, especially at half off.

Love the design, but it tipped over in my tote on day three and leaked because I hadn't locked the trigger fully. Maybe user error, but I wish there were a clearer lock indicator. Keeps temperature great, though.
